One more JG moves from my TBR to read. This one was published 21 years ago, and proves again the rhythm to his writing. Except for the MCs fascination with his portable battery operated phone, few adjustments would be needed had it been published today. And, oh btw, this was the first book I‘ve read this year with a random mention to my hometown - Butte Montana.

BiblioLitten This was my first JG book and I read it when I was 18-19 or even before that. 😃 4y
Bookwormjillk 21 years ago? That makes me feel soooo old. 4y
marleed @BiblioLitten @Bookwormjillk I‘m having fun randomly pulling a book from my JG stack for each month‘s reading goals. Except for some funny technology references most remain timely. I feel like I‘m binging a Netflix series as work through them! 4y

Though an anti climax, this books has all the elements of a great suspense. Definitely loved it

I thought this was really good. That family was hateful! We didn‘t really get to know Troy, and apparently he wasn‘t likeable, either, but you could sure see why he wanted to cut those ungrateful offspring (and ex-wives) out of the will altogether! Much of the novel was Nate trying to find Rachel in Brazil, which was entertaining, which leads me to mention that here were a number of humourous moments in the book, as well, which was kind of fun.

Very dated, but pretty fun! I'm interested to read one of his more recent books.

John Grisham doesn't disappoint. I love the stories of faith and redemption.
