pickThis was just the sort of adorable & uplifting middle grade novel to help with my reading slump. When a new Hauntery location opens down the street from the Ivan, 400 years of family-run haunted hotel service are jeopardized. And Willow isn't about to let that happen. A new ghost friend with aspirations of playing the scary role she's always wanted might be just the thing to put them back on top. Adorable and a tad spooky, just the way I like it.

Willow will do anything to make sure her family‘s Haunted Hotel runs perfectly and that the ghosts DO NOT FADE. But it‘s a hard job. Dad is depressed, mom‘s floating around (and not in a good way), and a truant officer is coming to get her.
This book was charming. It‘s peppered with illustrations.

My #bookspinbingo for October was dismal. I‘m still half way through the tagged book (number 5). But not bad. I‘m ready for next month.

2 Lip balm. I don't get how people let theirs get so chapped. I hurt just thinking about it.

The only thing good about an ER visit is mandatory reading. Dad is awaiting a heart cath and I‘m here until I switch with mother at lunch. He is doing fine, it a precaution because they think of his stents is starting to fail. It‘s outpatient but the ER wait has been long. Did the first 4 hours of that wait in the car as they wouldn‘t let me in until he got a room. Next two hour at home as I live 4 mins away. And now in room. This place is crazy.
This has be intriqued. There are 2 haunted hotels on Mercer street? What makes one better than another? I guess I will have to read the book if I want to find out.
