Fist piece I‘ve read by June Jordan. Known for her poetry this novella still displays a strong poetic vibe. We follow Buddy the protagonist of the story who is basically alone because his mother has returned to Barbados and his father is dying in hospital. In spite of this he tries to live lifeto the fullest and is challenged by manypeople and situations. Written in Black Englishit may take you a few pages to get the rhythm but it‘s worth reading.
