panI‘m attending my first non-library book club tonight, and so I quickly read this one. While I liked the description of the shop and the yarn and colors, everything else was not that great. I never warmed to Paislee the MC, there was so much repetition in the narrative (more than other cozy mysteries, and you know I love them), and it seemed like the mystery was way in the background, as I got a sense of “woe is me” every time Paislee spoke. Pass.

pickSo i might have judged the book by the dog on the cover. Which was of course One of the main reasons i bought it but it did not disappoint. All in Scottish accent but lively characters, good dialogue and intriguing mystery. Will def read the next in the series but May is so far away!
