Full of interesting tidbits and the author has a way with humorous metaphors and similes but somehow for me, it failed to really cohere. A diagram of the brain might have helped.
At this point I feel the book should be called The Idiot's Brain instead

pickA great overview of all the weird and wacky things the brain does, as well as misconceptions debunked. The dissection of the brain-as-computer analogy (re memory) is especially good.
This book begins the same way as nearly all my social interactions: with a series of detailed and thorough apologies.

My final apology is based on the fact that a former colleague of mine once told me that I'd get a book published "when hell freezes over." Sorry to Satan. This must be very inconvenient for you.
How did I end up with THREE yellow books about the brain? Weird.
pickHighly recommend this book. It's such an interesting read combining humor and science. He uses technical terms without it being overwhelming or making it difficult to understand. And it shed some light on a lot of things. Especially helpful for anyone who works in customer service.
Loving the comparisons in this book. It actually makes it more understandable and funny. 😂
