Got some reading in while at the salon today. Almost done with this #readharder book. Some of these stories have been fantastic! There‘s one about the wolves of Isle Royale which was fascinating. One about the first spider in space, which was excellent. Some of them were a bit harder to enjoy; one talked about an animal testing lab which my vegan heart did not do well with. I also didn‘t realize my hair is the same color as my fire case. 😂
While in NYC over the weekend, we made a (too quick) stop at The Strand. It was hopping for a Sunday evening!! What an incredible place. I made a kind of frenzied dash and walked out with 3 books I hadn‘t heard of and 1 I‘ve been looking forward to picking up! Will post those later!
Someone might have a kidney stone (yippee), so I got the pleasure of having an abdominal CT scan today! At least there were nice quiet spots to read between getting poked and prodded. Getting close to the end of this #readharder2022 book!
This is probably one of the creepiest covers I have in my collection. You‘ve got a little bit of everything; witch, monster, demon, pumpkins, mummy. It‘s one of my favorite Halloween stories! #skeleton #ominousoctober
Got to wander around Big Foot Beach State Park in Lake Geneva, WI for a bit today. Now my other half is HAM radioing while I enjoy this book in the shade. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!!
Have the day off today and am looking forward to reading this graphic novel for #readharder2022.
I haven‘t been feeling so great lately and my furry cuddle team has been in full effect. We spent a little time listening to Dresden files together while I worked on this gorgeous Swan today. #audiocrafting #catsoflitsy #lennox #huey
I don‘t think it had ever occurred to me before picking up this book how many villains are “ugly” or “disfigured” making those things seem to be “bad” or “evil”. Or the many other ways that disabilities are portrayed negatively in stories. I found this book to be very thought provoking and appreciated the author sharing her story alongside so many familiar tales. #readharder2022
Difficult to read at times and at other moments incredibly uplifting. I think this book is one that everyone should read. Sharing a page that I strongly relate to. #readharder2022
Perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. #readharder2022
Really looking forward to this book. I‘m sure parts of it will be difficult to read (and appreciate the trigger warnings at the start of each piece). #readharder2022
#audiocrafting a cardigan with these Dresden short stories. It was kind of a shock to not have the whole thing read by James Marsters!!
