These modern fairytales are super weird so far. I don‘t really know how to feel about them.

It wasnt quite as good as The Prince and the Troll but I might be biased for anything by Rainbow Rowell. I woshed I had more of a warning about the sex trafficking going on though.

Dark.

Hazel and Gray the 2nd book I‘ve read from the faraway collection. The books are based on fairytales, only around 30 pages long.
The story was interesting loosely based on Hansel and Gretal. #fairytales #shortstories

I waffled between giving this 2 and 3 stars. The writing was great, but the story felt like it was too big for short form.

This was a really good Hansel and Gretel retelling. The story feels a lot more thought out than the others in this collection and really has some stakes to it. Loved it.

I was not expecting it to be that good! I need to read more by Nic Stone now

Ooooh Hazel and Gray is a really trippy, non-pg rated, modern reimagining of Hansel and Gretel. Equally disturbing and really absorbing. I've never read anything by Nic Stone before, but I'm thinking I'll need to look into changing that.
