January was a decent month for books. I read:
- 11 books for the #121in2021
- 3 books for #TBRDeckofCards with @Clwojick
- 8 Letters for #LitsyAtoZ with @BookishMarginalia

Alao, my mood tracker has 15 days that were good moods/good days. @anewton91

Clwojick Way to go! Sounds like a great reading month ♥️😀🔥 4y

Finally a really good book from the #TBRDeckofCards. This book full of mass hysteria and teenage obsession was really good. It wasnt supernatural causes like I expected. I mever knew til the end what happened

A good pick from the #TBRDeckofCards after a couple that weren't my favorites. At least they are off my TBR now which is what this is about: good bad or ugly, lower my 516 book TBR. This one is described as dark, disturbing, and chilling. Seems right up my alley

j.rye That‘s so clever! 4y
jessinikkip @j.rye you mean the cards? It was a challenge that @Clwojick put together, and I chose to use book titles instead of prompts on mine. 4y
Clwojick Woohoo! Hopefully you like this one! 4y

Good Lord this book took forever to finish reading. It wasnt my type of book but I was reluctant to put it down and DNF it because a friend liked it. Good on them, but it just wasnt for me.

Overall, it took forever to read this, not because it was bad but the content. Its the story of a man who around Chrostmas 1987 murders 16 people and injures 4 more, between the ages of 46 and 20 months. Of those 16, 14 were his own gamily including wife amd 7 kids, in laws, and his child from an incestuous relationship with his daughter.

Chrissyreadit This sounds very dark. 4y
jessinikkip @Chrissyreadit It certainly was. The author did very well keeping a neutral tone like you would want from this kind of nonfiction book. He was a very disturbed man. 4y
Clwojick Sounds interesting. I love a dark true crime. 4y

My first draw of 2021 is Zero at the Bone. This is a true crime story that has been on my shelves since.... Probably 2017 or 2018? I tried it once and it ended up DNF due to him molesting his daughter being too triggering to read. Trying again now that I'm doing better than I was then

Clwojick Hopefully you‘re able to get into it this time. If not, there‘s no shame in bailing. Sometimes boon adjust aren‘t for you, or your tastes have changed (edited) 4y

It wasnt quite as good as The Prince and the Troll but I might be biased for anything by Rainbow Rowell. I woshed I had more of a warning about the sex trafficking going on though.

Well I didnt know this book was only like 30 pages. I really enjoyed it. There were really only two characters and one setting. I cant wait to finish the other 4 in the series.

Starting in on a collection of short stories called the Faraway Collection I got on Kindle Unlimited. They are all retellings of fairy tales from popular authors and they are all pretty short. I cant wait to enjoy these.
