I am so disappointed in this. This series was so good but this book was so focused on the love story it took away from what was great about the other 3. There was just not the same balance.

This book is my fantasy in high school. I was just as self depreciating and highly love crazy like Eloise and I'm not ashamed to admit that. She does a lot of the things I imagined myself doing but never had the opportunity to do. I loved this little rom-com, warts and all
This was probably my favorite of all the books. The mystery is so much fun with the slasher vibe and the little tidbits of comedy had me laughing out at some points.
This was fun, I liked it a little better than the Jasmine story, really enjoyed the discussion around Aurora's mental health and depression that ran through the story
I love this series and I loved the finale. I knew who did it but it still didn't hinder the reveal. Also the fact that they're continuing the series with a new mystery just makes my heart happy. I love these characters and cant wait to see what they continue to do.
I love this series. Main character from Pittsburgh? Love. Has anxiety attacks that are actually described well? Love. Is a loner but doesn't keep everything from their friends (and if they do its not for long) Love. If you like YA and mystery this series is pretty solid.
I love a good historical, fictional romance set against murder and mystery. I love this series, it's a mystery but it's not too dark and disturbing, nor confusing. The answers are sometimes obvious but it doesn't lessen how fun the story is
If you like the Podcast you will love this book. It's as bonkers as the podcast and just as interesting. I love the entire premise of a giant secret game and the conspiracy behind it.
This was so sweet and so serious and so funny all at once. It made me, a native Pittsburgh resident, like Philly for like a whole minute which is quite a feet when you're a hockey fan
This was a great mystery and I always love a distorted Narnia world. 100% recommend to people who like YA and mysteries
This was short but so amazing. I love JVN and it was wonderful getting an insight into them and how they work.
This book was so funny and you could 100% tell that Tiffany had written this book. It wasn't clean or written perfectly it was messy and didn't always sound 100% PC, but it wasn't offensive either, it was just a woman writing how she felt and what she experienced. I loved it.
I love this so far. Give me all the messed up Narnia like crap you can. Taking something most people recognize as wholesome and just screwing with it is one of my favorite things.
I think I'm going to make November biography month. I have a list of biographies and memoirs to read so Im going to get through some starting with this one since I love Tiffany Haddish.
This was a solid thriller. It's predictable if you know the genre well but the main character is unique in a way I'm not used to seeing. At some points she is pretty damn unlikable and it's refreshing that she actually acts like a confused teenager most of the time instead of having adult logic about everything.
Finished my Goodreads goal for the first time ever and I still have 2 months left! I am currently reading 2 books, one in my car while waiting to pick up my kids and one when I'm in the house. If I keep this up I might get at least 6 more books read this year. I wonder what my goal for next year should be? Maybe I'll do some challenges.
This book was a trip. Ya the main character was awful but it made so much sense. I really enjoyed it.
I was a little worried when I saw this had a 'found footage' vibe but now that I'm reading it I get it. Also I can see why reviews say the main character is the worst because he is but jeez the way they present the narration is pretty awesome so far.
This was FANTASTIC I love how all the stories came together and just a satisfying end with an opening for more.
You know I liked this a lot actually. It had some issues with who they were writing for at points, seeming for a young teen but then at the same time also for an older teen. Besides that the story was fun and honestly all I can think about is if the sequel that they kind of set up happens I'll def read it
I keep seeing not so great reviews but you know what? I love a fairy tale retelling in any sense so I'm going to read this and love it most likely.
I love this series so much. I can't wait to read more of these books in this universe.
I pretty much am just going to leave this here. I'm reading The Evolution of Claire and The Last Olympian but whenever I find I want to read something I know and love my mind always drifts back to the Crows so here I am back in Ketterdam, hanging out again with my gang of misfit thieves.
Well this wasn't the honesty I was expecting from a YA adaption about Claire from Jurassic World. But accurate.
Mostly reading this because my 6 yo is obsessed with Jurassic World and Claire specifically. She found this book and had to get it so I want to figure out how much I have to edit for her age haha
I love this series. It's so fun and interesting. The characters all are different and have unique voices and story arcs. I know this sounds like every other book but I've read a lot of tween/YA/middle grade books where only the main character gets a arc and the rest are all attached their development. This one has everyone growing differently and actually experiencing things on their own.
I liked this book almost as much as I liked Six of Crows. As much as I liked the Shadow and Bone trilogy these last 2 duologies feel so much richer in character development and story. I loved all of the different storylines and how they worked together. I'm excited for the second book to see how it all ends.
This was so good. I give it 4 out of 5 and only because some of the language was a bit misogynistic and homophobic. I understand that the setting was a factor in this, being the 1930s-50s in Spain and that the characters themselves were not inherently misogynist or homophobic, at least no more than anyone was at that time, it still felt like sometimes it was a little much. Everything else about this story was amazing.
Just started reading this after reading Six of Crows and wow ya'll the transition to this mindset has been wild.
Binged the TV show after learning that it was a prequel to this duolougy (I read Shadow and Bone before the series) and now I must read the story of my main man Kaz Brekker
I love a middle book where everything seems lost. But I hate a love triangle. But I love a love quadrilateral. Anyway this was amazing.
This was cute and unique in how it retold the fairy tales it was working with. I'm pretty pumped to read the rest of the series when I can. I like this world and want to revisit.
This was amazing. I love a book in verse and this was beautiful. The story in the verse is enthralling and features family, first love, and tackles parents' expectations and how sometimes you just can't live up to them. And that's ok. Just beautiful
They just called Jay-z, Nas, and Eve 'old-school' rappers. I. Am. Ancient.
Excited to read this but I noticed it has like a 97% rating. I love to try to find the bad reviews of books that are clearly loved. Couldn't find the so so or pan reviews of this one so not sure why that rating but seems to be well loved.
I mean it has to be a pick for me because I'm literally reading about a dream life of being fat and brown eyed and red haired and writing fanfiction and somehow ending up with the actor playing Jaime Lannister (I literally cannot be anymore on point about who Marcus is supposed to represent). This was so cute and cheesy and fun. Fat people deserve love and happy endings and this just throws it at you. So much love.
Wow I didn't know I was starring in this book.
Fat woman? ✔️
Red hair? ✔️
Brown Eyes? ✔️
Freckles? ✔️
Writes fanfiction? ✔️
This is self-insert I didn't have to write myself
This was so fun and Selina is 100% more interesting than Bruce Wayne. And Luke Fox is also 100% more interesting than Bruce Wayne.
Not gonna lie. I never really shipped Selina Kyle with anyone because her and Batman never meshed for me but oof in this story her and her not-Batman love interest got me shipping hard. No spoilers but this one is better than BatCat by far
This was fun! Had a slump in the middle and the pickup to the climax was abrupt but other than that it was really good and a fun read. Even had a small twist I didn't see coming which was surprising. Definitely a good read if you're looking for something that is different (this was a western and dystopian, making a new combination I've never read before) but not bogged down by details of the world.
I like this book a lot only I'm 300 pages in and it feels like the plot just got started. I can't help but wonder if about 75 pages could have been cut and it still would be good. It feels a little bloated at this point. I hope the last 150 pages fly by like the first 150 did
Almost 200 pages in after only reading for a couple hours. This book is so fun and quick (for being 400 something pages) I love books like this.
This book is a bit slow but the subject, Virginia Hall, is just so interesting and inspiring I didn't care. This book had my attention and honestly I would sigh to myself and mutter 'ugh men' a lot because the 1940s (and most of the time surrounding that period) men sucked in their treatment and views on women. If you like Peggy Carter from the MCU read this, this woman is Peggy Carter in the real war.
Just a normal night reading on the kindle under a giant dinosaur comforter, ya know, adult stuff
This was interesting. I love the idea behind the memories and this world that was built in this short story felt like it could be used for a full novel. Super cool read.
This was a really good Hansel and Gretel retelling. The story feels a lot more thought out than the others in this collection and really has some stakes to it. Loved it.
This gets a pick because it's fast paced and just eviscerated every Disney prince ever. Like just ruins them all. Seriously a fun read if you think Prince Eric was trash and that the Beast is really the bad guy and Belle deserved better because they all deserve better.
This was cute and very fun to read. Nothing mind blowing or particularly revolutionary but still fun and quick.
Finally broke down and got an ereader for Christmas first on my TBR to read is this, I'm halfway through and so far I like it but I have no idea what is going on
