My reading stats for January 2025. I had a great month for fiction.
I included ebooks I deleted under donated and did *not* include freebies under bought. 😏
Thanks to Puddlejumper for the template.
Late to the party, but here are my monthly favorites. #12booksof2024
Other favorites that just missed the cut:
The Evening and the Morning by Ken Follett
Blood Lines by Angela Marsons
And several of the In Death Series by JD Robb
I enjoyed reading everyone‘s favorites and have added many to my TBR list.
Thanks @Andrew65
I hope to participate in real time next year! 😀
A great year for me despite having eyes issues that kept me from reading and participating on Litsy. Nearly all my 2024 reads were audiobooks.
#serieslove2024: 56 books read: at least one book from 23 of the 36 series I have in progress 🤯
I finished 2 series completely and brought 3 others up-to-date! I‘m slowly catching up—trying hard not to start new ones without finishing others first.
I hope to join some buddy reads & challenges in 2025
Well, this is it —that‘s all she wrote (or rather, read) for 2024! I‘m not going to finish anything else tonight so might as well wrap it up. Feeling very pleased —I managed to smash my goal for “total pages read.” That‘s the one I aim for so I‘ll pick up the longer books.
Stats for December: Finishing the month with a few more completed reads than I expected, given the holiday season!
Hit my page goal with a few weeks to spare! 💪🏼💃🏻🕺
Posting my October stats from Storygraph. This month was more nonfiction-heavy than usual. I love these analytics! Such a fun snapshot of my reading moods.
My reading stats for September. Being sick with Covid for two weeks really took a toll on me —in more ways than one. Ugh. Get your boosters, people!
So far, August has been my most productive month of 2024, in terms of number of books and pages completed. I guess being confined to the couch for a week after knee surgery with nothing else to do can have SOME perks! 😄 FYI, the “average time to finish” was skewed by a book that I finally finished after 10 months. 😖
Thanks @BarbaraJean for tipping me off to the new monthly stats generator in StoryGraph! I love these types of analytics. Although I don‘t know why there‘s an empty box in the book photos … guess there are still some bugs to work out. 🤷🏻♀️
Just discovered StoryGraph‘s monthly wrap-up graphics—I do so love their graphs and statistics!
I saw this template on Instagram today and I decided to join in. I‘m sharing my reading stats for May from StoryGraph.
StoryGraph changed their reading stats page. They just announced this on their Instagram. I haven‘t looked at my reading stats page yet but I think it will be really cool to see everything in one place. If you like looking at reading stats like I do then you should check out StoryGraph. I still use Goodreads but I like StoryGraph too. What I like the most about StoryGraph besides the stats is the fact that they have a section for DNF books.
Today, I‘m sharing more reading stats from 2023. It‘s still early in the year so these stats could change. I looked at these stats and I‘ve decided that my new monthly reading goals will be 1 digital book, 1 print book, 1 audiobook and 1 nonfiction book a month. Longer books and audiobooks will take more time. I want to read them but I don‘t know when I‘ll get around to reading them.
I‘m sharing the Top 5 Genres I‘ve read in 2022 and in 2023. It‘s still early in the year so my top 5 genres could change but it‘s hard to say. Surprisingly, the top 5 genres between 2022 and 2023 changed a little bit but not very much. If I want the genres chart on StoryGraph to be more reflective of my reading then the books I read each month need to be different genres so the genre chart will accurately reflect my reading.
Here is my DNF reading stats from The StoryGraph. The percentage of print books I bailed on was 75% and the percentage of digital books I bailed on was 25%. I don‘t bail on books anymore because I feel guilty about it and I like to finish books.
Today, I‘m sharing reading stats from The Storygraph for books I own. I‘m not surprised that I‘ve read 87% fiction and 13% nonfiction because I like nonfiction but I don‘t read it that often. I‘m surprised that the percentage for the audio and print books is the same because I read audiobooks more than print. I‘m surprised by the percentage of read/unread books. I thought the percentage of unread books would have been higher.
Okay I promise to lay off the pie charts after this one. 🤣🤣🤣 It surprised me not one bit that my most read genre is Romance. Romcoms are where my soul goes for happiness in both books and movies. What is your most read genre in 2022?
One of my other favorite Statistics for my reader spreadsheet. It seems library books dominate my list every year. Where do you get most of your books?
I love the stats my reading spreadsheet gives me. I love that I‘m clearing out my backlist but really I‘m just starting new to me series. 😂 I can‘t wait for some 2023 ARCs to give this pie another wedge.
So this year I decided to monitor my spending on books..... Clearly this has been a rather different year, with shops being closed for a good part of it, but I‘m still quite pleased with my overall spend of just 650! (This doesn‘t include books bought as gifts)
I‘m also really lucky to have wonderful friends on here and to have received so many books as gifts.
Also pleased with my library savings, especially as it was also closed for a time.
