Am I the only one on here who just didn't get on with this. Someone compared this with RW&RB Edwardian style? WHAT? NOPE!

Was slow, the writing style made the reading of it feel even slower, the main characters weren't very likeable or endearing, the sex scenes made my think they were written for another book, seemed awkward.

I did like the premise and the period setting but not enough to want to read A Restless Truth.

Some #audioknitting. This pair of socks needs to be finished by the end of the month for a Secret Santa parcel.

For those interested, I'm trying an after-thought heel and am looking at a chart for a "Kelim style" sock, because that's easier than doing the decrease-maths myself. ?

😍 Look at this absolutely exquisite cover! Was I at all surprised to find it‘s designed by my favorite (yes I have a favorite) book jacket artist/designer Will Staehle?!? Nope, not at all. On sale in November, the story is billed as historical fantasy. Danger, bureaucracy, magic and more. Definitely looking forward to this one!
