Love good ol Alex and Milo...such a great series
Welcome back Alex, Milo and Robin.
It's been long.
Unlike the previous Alex Delaware novel, this one feels like we‘re back to the series we all know and love. This one is more police procedural and less psychological investigation. Milo is at his best in this cold case mystery. With a slow start, it‘s got a twisty ending, and is a very satisfying read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I keep encountering this phrase throughout this book. I‘ve never seen it in any other book. It seems kind of awkward and strange.
I find Jonathan Kellerman‘s Alex Delaware series to be consistently entertaining — I‘ve really only disliked one of the books. In Serpentine, Milo Sturgis, the detective Alex often partners with, is more of a presence in the novel than Alex, and that‘s a good thing. I worry about Milo almost like I would a friend. The mystery was twisty and interesting, and John Rubinstein is, as always, a great narrator. #audiowalk
Yesterday was cold and rainy, so I didn‘t go out; today was cold and sunny so I did. The guy at the bottom of this pic only had on shorts, shoes, and a Mardi Gras scarf. At 36°F, it was way too cold for that, especially by the water, but he seemed happy. Happy Fat Tuesday! #audiowalk
I haven‘t been able to walk for several days because of the rain, but today it was only gloomy, not rainy, so I got to walk 4.22 miles in the chill. #audiowalk
