An air of mystery & possible connections
While the characters themselves didn‘t really stir my emotions, the tragedy depicted in the story definitely did. So if you‘re looking for characters to love, you might be disappointed because the story itself is actually where this book shines. The audio was fantastically performed.
Gatsby is having a spa day tomorrow because she‘s beyond shaggy. She‘ll probably try to hide from me when she figures out she has to go in the car (she hates the car) but there will be no hiding in Charlotte tomorrow. In the meantime, I‘m starting this one tonight.
pickNo Hiding in Boise is a fast-paced, insightful story that doesn‘t sensationalize mass shootings, but forces us to consider how various people are affected by these traumatic events. Kim Hooper captured the many facets of this frightening reality and the story she created is an important one.

pickI didn‘t quite know what to expect from this one but I found myself listening to at every opportunity. With multiple narrators, three main ones unravel the aftermath of a bar shooting in Boise. Angie and Joyce both wake up to find that their loved ones aren‘t where they expected while a patron saves bartender Tessa by telling her to run. It‘s an engaging and quite riveting read. The audio is well performed!! #AudioColoring
Jude was not very pleased with me when he woke up moments after I placed him here, but it was worth it! ❤️
