My second Christmas break book and 13th in this series. It continued the story of Cork O‘Connor as he figures out mysteries in the far northern part of Minnesota. I enjoy the stories and the break from school.

Long held secrets intrude on the present in yet another excellent Cork O‘Conner mystery. Cork & his former best friend Jubal go into the mountains to hunt. When the day is over, Cork comes down by himself having watched his friend die, shot through the heart with an arrow…that looks just like one of Cork‘s. Being at the top of the suspect list means Cork has to figure out why someone is trying to frame him for the murder. Excellent.
Another well-done mystery by Krueger. Although sleuthing out the guilty culprit wasn‘t terribly difficult, it kept me engaged. The writing is excellent and descriptive. Once started, I sped through it. I also learned about the Anishinaabeg people. As a Minnesota writer, Krueger has being there nailed.
I just ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ this series! If you haven‘t read about Cork, you have to! Refreshing, close to both humanity and nature. Heartbreaking at times, but ooooh so good! So interesting to read about the Ojibwe culture. I am totally in love with lake and the forest, not to forget Henry. #SeriesLove2023
Book # 12 of Krueger‘s Cork O‘Connor series. Cork‘s kids are grown now and he has an adopted grandson-the light of his life. Solid plot with great character building and the ending was, as always, a surprise 💙

A solid entry in the Cork O‘Connor series. A little convoluted though. We get a lot of Cork‘s backstory because the murder in the present is about events from his past. About 5 minutes after I finished my walk, the sky just opened up and poured rain. #audiowalk
I was sick a good portion of last week and wasn‘t up to walking much until today. Because Trickster‘s Point is my walking book, it‘s been awhile since I‘ve listened to it. It was good to get back to my walking and this book today. #audiowalk
The clouds never look as dark in my pics as they actually are. I went walking at lunch and got home in time for it to start pouring down. It‘s after 4:00 now, and it still hasn‘t stopped. We‘re getting a lot about Cork‘s high school years in this book. #audiowalk
More Cork O‘Connor for walking. It was drizzling while I was walking and started pouring just as I got in the car. #audiowalk
The next novel in William Kent Krueger‘s bestselling series finds Cork O‘Connor sitting in the shadow of a towering monolith known as Trickster‘s Point, deep in the Minnesota wilderness. With him is Jubal Little, who is favored to become the first Native American elected governor of Minnesota, and who is slowly dying with an arrow through his heart...
