A beautifully written soliloquy on the miracles that are hummingbirds. This short book is taken from a longer book "Birdology" which is currently enroute to me? The author assists her friend who rescues 2 baby hummingbirds. The stats she lists about them surely makes them a miracle.

Sy Montgomery tells wonderful non fiction nature stories. In this one she works with a hummingbird rescue expert for a month to hand raise two tiny orphaned hummingbird babies.

This little book is also a chapter from Sy‘s book Birdology. It includes quite a few photos.

I‘d definitely recommend this if animal rescue is your wheelhouse, or it would make a great spirit lifting gift.

Adding this one to my tbr

This was a chapter from one of her previous books with a new introduction. All of 80 pages for $20, I'm really glad I didn't pre-order it. Her last couple of books have been rehashes of material. I hope that means she working on something big because I enjoy her storytelling.

A small book to dip into in between the unpacking and putting away.

As small, swift, and charming as the hummingbirds it‘s dedicated to, this book by Soul of an Octopus author Sy Montgomery chronicles the rescue and raising of two orphaned hummingbird hatchlings. This was a pleasant, engaging, and educational two hours on audiobook and warmly read by the author.
