3.5 ⭐95% of this book takes place in 24 hours. There is a group of six teenagers who are on an E-sports team, but they need to be down to five. They are having a contest to decide which get to play in next week‘s tournament. Big prize money is on the line. However, nothing goes according to plan when Cristal gets a message from a special app on her phone saying play my game or your sister dies. What proceeds is 24 hours of Cristal playing

LibrarianRyan a game of life and death. A game of choosing who is more important, your family or your best friends. This is a thriller that moves quickly. While it is well done it, it‘s more of a “why done it“ then a “how done it”. Mainly because it‘s obvious from the beginning what is bringing about this game. I also think it‘s easy to tell who the real dangerous one is. However, it was still a fun read that many teens will find exciting. And while it does 10mo
LibrarianRyan not exactly end on a cliffhanger, it does leave itself wide open for a sequel. I really thought this would be much more about a group of people playing a deadly game rather than one person, but it works together well and fits within its tropes decently. 10mo

A quick read. Good if not predictable. Well written and suspenseful, but the ending is kinda blah

Stopped at 48%.
The narrator wasn't great and it was just too over the top.

Crystal Donovan receives an alert on her phone. Tell anyone and she dies! What comes across her screen Crystal can‘t believe her eyes it‘s her little sister being held hostage tied to a chair crying for her life. Soon Crystal realizes this is not a game she must complete these certain tasks or her sister will die.
I found this book fun and engaging. I kind of guessed how it was going to end

I didn't buy it, the plot was too far fetched for me. It seemed liked it was written in a rush. Also, the main character jumped to poorly realized psychoanalytical conclusions for the reader. I found her unsympathetic and unbelievable.

I'm so upset that I didn't like this book. But right off the bat the author starts the scene with 6 different characters, which was soooo confusing. Took me a while to figure out who was who. The story was just so unbelievable, the person behind it was obvious. And the characters were so annoying. I kept rolling my eyes at the main character and the decisions she would make. Very disappointing. 1 star ⭐️

A fantastic & quick thriller that kept me on my toes. A consistent roller coaster ride. The narrative was well-written with good atmosphere & a tense, swift pace. A few obvious twists, but overall quite surprising. A realistic teen protagonist with flaws & well-written supporting cast. A great reading experience with high tension. I didn't want to put it down. Super solid ending with some great surprises. Very near 5 stars. Highly recommend.
