Just received this amazing birthday package from @DaveGreen7777 and couldn't be more delighted! My most favorite topics have all been covered- dragons, cats, queerness, strong female characters! 😁📚💕 And I was JUST thinking about how I wanted to start collecting the Liveship Traders by Hobb in this beautiful edition so I think Dave must be a mind reader! 😃 Thank you so much, Dave!

My professor wrote this book! And it lived up to the hype. Some of the books they assigned in class were talked about in this book and it was so cool. I have never read a book about teenagehood that resonated so closely to me. This was made by and for trans people. AMAZING.

Very funky book!

An extremely unique book. A reimagining of tween series like the Babysitter's Club (a paranormal girl detective club a la first season Buffy), a brutally honest YA novel about queer / trans coming of age and disordered eating, a choose your own adventure / video game style surreal journey through the body, an intellectual adult reflection on all this. Wonderfully imaginative, thoughtfully intertextual, emotionally resonant, critically nostalgic.

Megan Milks is doing really cool things with form in this novel: a book within a book, a 90s girl detective club solving supernatural mysteries a la Buffy. Then there's a present tense narrative where Margaret, former head detective, is a teenager, her friends having grown out of the club while she's still longing for it, trying on the role of a straight teen girl and finding it does not fit.
