#doublespin for June… this was a really interesting read… I‘m not sure I was totally won over by his arguments but it was definitely compelling and I definitely agree with the sentiment re: western diet. I‘d like to read a bit more of the research in this area for sure!

I found this fascinating to listen to. He writes scientifically but in a way that‘s easy to understand. It details why people struggle to lose weight, the weight set point, metabolism, our eating habits (& why the western diet is pretty bad - overly processed food etc) & lots more. In the late chapters he gives a plan of how to lose weight for good but it felt a bit farfetched, you‘d have to be super dedicated to stick to the whole plan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Megabooks I‘m stacking this but I‘m not really into dieting. Sounds interesting otherwise! 2y
youneverarrived @Megabooks it‘s really interesting. He talks about how dieting doesn‘t really work and it‘s not the main focus of the book so you might like it. It‘s only the latter part of the book where he gives a plan of what to eat etc. 2y
