What if everything you've ever loved, ever known, ever believed to be true...just disappeared?Annie Beyers has everything--a beautiful house, a loving husband, and an adorable daughter. It's a day like any other when she takes Hannah to the pediatrician...until she wakes hours later from a car accident. When she asks for her daughter, confused doctors tell Annie that Hannah never existed. In fact, nothing after waking from the crash is the same as Annie remembers. Five happy years of her life apparently never happened.Annie's marriage is coming to an end. Now a successful artist living in Manhattan, she's no longer home in their beloved upstate farmhouse. Her long-estranged sister is more like a best friend, and her recently deceased dog is alive and well. With each passing day, Annie's remembered past and unfamiliar present begin to blur. Haunted by visions of Hannah, and with knowledge of things she can't explain, Annie wonders...is everyone lying to her?The search for answers leads Annie down an illuminating path far from home, to reconcile the memories with reality and to discover the truth about the life she's living.

This started out strong and lagged a bit in the middle then ended a little stronger. I guess the idea was too far fetched for me and I kind of loathe interest. Still a pretty good read though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was really good. 4.5☆
Annie has a lovely house in the country and a beautiful daughter Hannah. She left behind her artist career to become a mom and live a dream. When she has the accident taking Hannah to the Dr, a truck smashes into her. She wakes up and is told she doesn't have a daughter. Thus her 'new' life begins. She searches and searches even while finding out she lives⬇️

Crazeedi In NYC now and has had success as an artist. Are there really 2 lives she's lived? 9mo
CBee Sounds like a good one! 9mo

After a lot of book bailing it‘s nice to have 2 books in a row that blew me away. This is the second one (Lark Ascending the first) and it‘s so good. I don‘t know what to say without giving stuff away but the story is excellent and well paced.

I‘m not sure where to start. I enjoyed most of the book, I found myself wanting to read and find out what happened. However, the ending left me feeling, meh. This novel had a chance to really knock it out of the park with its subject matter, but it really missed the mark. I kept thinking the reason might be trauma related but hoped it would be about multiple dimensions. I don‘t want to spoil it so I‘ll just say it really fell flat. Book#28 in 2022

Consuming stories really helped me through the last month. I picked up A Day Like This on a whim and was totally intrigued by the plot. I listened to Agatha Christie‘s The Body In The Library and so enjoyed Miss Marple‘s detecting skills. Listening to The Map of Knowledge took some time because there was so much to absorb. The Promise Of A Kiss was a delightful historical romance escapade set in Egypt.

Captivating. This book sucked me in! What if you woke up from a car accident and the life you knew yesterday is nothing like the life you live today. No more kid, you live in the city and not the country, instead of being happily married you‘re separated? Are you crazy? Did you manage to go to a parallel universe? Can you really figure it out?

Oh, my! I HAVE to know what is going On!!! Wish I didn‘t have to work! Grabbing a second to read every chance I get!
Did she have a daughter? Is she getting gas-lighted?
Or is she having altered memories and olfactory hallucinations?

Wow! I devoured this book. It was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. This one will stick with me for a while. So many questions were raised and I didn‘t know which way it was going to go. I hope to read more from this author.

tpixie I just finished it. What a great read and thought provoking! 3y

This was an October First Reads from Amazon. This story centers around Annie, who is driving her daughter to the pediatrician when she‘s in an accident. Waking up at the hospital, when she asks about her daughter she is told she doesn‘t have a daughter. In fact, her whole life is different than what she remembers. This was a fascinating story that I read in one sitting. Hopefully this author will write more!

EvieBee Oh wow! Kinda mad at myself for not picking this one. 3y
