This was fun! You were right, I'll never look at ugly Christmas sweaters the same, @DGRachel @thegirlwiththelibrarybag.

Closing out #12booksof2021 with the short story that I read this month (#december). Tessa Dare is my favorite historical romance author because not only does she have fantastic characters, her books always make me laugh. I needed laughs this December. Honorable mention to The Passengers by John Marrs (and also, please remember this does not include rereads - if it did, I‘d have to make Smiley‘s People my top choice).
I‘m going to be laughing about ugly Christmas vests possibly until next Christmas! What a prank, what results.
Tessa Dare never disappoints. This is a charming, witty Christmas story featuring a mischievous young woman and the poor earl who never stood a chance against her. Chloe is an absolute delight, and like all of Tessa‘s books, there were laugh-out-loud moments, which is why she‘s my favorite historical romance author.
4/5
This is a super cute, super short Christmas, regency romance. Chloe plays a Christmas Eve trick on an earl who doesn't like her, and finds that perhaps she's misunderstood the earl's feelings all along.

I've got my December #bookspinbingo list ready to go (assuming I manage to finish the two books I'm at 75% read today). It'll also double as my #WinterGames2021 TBR.
