This certainly won't win any literary awards but it was a ton of fun. Took a pretty corny twist close to the end but that didn't lessen the excitement. 🐉
I knew from the description and reviews that this book was like Jurassic Park but with Dragons. I laughed pretty hard at the confirmation by page 56.

This was a really fun, edge of your seat sort of read. Similar to Jurassic Park, but with dragons and not quite so intelligently written. Would make a great big budget summer movie.
130 pages in and loving it!! This book is intense!
My people know me pretty well. I got the 2 bookmarks and a gift card and an hour with no interruptions in Barnes and Noble for Mother's Day.
So I wanna know what y‘all think of this book!!!! It‘s a thriller about a special species of animal the Chinese government has been keeping secret for over 40 years. The great zoo is created so that these special animals can finally be out of display. A group of people come to check out the animals and are told they will be amazed and will be safe and nothing will go wrong. YEAAAAA RIGHT!!!! I‘m personally looking forward to this one!
pickExcellent choice for dragons being plausible in today's society. But if Jurassic Park; theme park gone wrong, animals ruin amuck.

#TBT Last year this time, I was elder sitting, melting in the heat, & looking for a fun diversion where I didn't have to think too hard or too long about plot. Did you enjoy Jurassic Park (movie or book) & do you like dragons? Then give this book a try. Quick fun read, even if the story & plot are predictable after seeing anything in the Jurassic franchise. Dragons thrown suddenly into the mix with humans, what could possibly go wrong? 😱
pickMatthew Reilly is one of my favourite authors and I absolutely love love love this book! 😍 It is Jurassic Park on steroids... Edge of the seat action, super fast paced and awesome protagonists - just perfect! 🤓
pickJust watched Jurassic World and was reminded of The Great Zoo of China. Instead of dinosaurs, you get dragons. And unlike Jurassic World, it all goes smoothly. Just kidding. Total mayhem! But an excellent female MC turns MacGyver and saves the day.
