I have finished these three books so far since the beginning of the #awesomeapril #readathon. I‘m so proud of myself. I have thoroughly enjoyed these three audiobooks, and I really like the stained glass style of the three covers. The cover art for this series is absolutely brilliant.

This is officially the best book of this series so far. It brings the tiniest, seemingly insignificant things together from the previous two books and suddenly those things are so important. This story takes place mere weeks after the events of book 2, so it feels very rapid and almost urgent throughout. There is a maybe murder, and then a definitely murder, and you don‘t get any real hints until the final few chapters. ðŸ‘‡ðŸ»ðŸ‘‡ðŸ»ðŸ‘‡ðŸ»

GingerAntics (Cont‘d) Good guys live. Bad guys die. Rhys, Catrin, and Justin start really coming together as a family. If you love Sarah Woodbury and/or the Welsh Guard Series, do yourself a favour and read this one immediately. Better yet, listen to the audiobook. GingerAntics @Texreader I know you‘re not as much a fan of this series as you are of Gareth and Gwen, but this book is absolutely worth the read. The mystery of this one is just brilliant. I can‘t wait to read the latest Gareth and Gwen, knowing they had to be in progress about the same time. 2y

GingerAntics @Texreader well, you probably shouldn‘t because you‘d miss some of those little things that become big things, but at the same time, you‘re familiar with the world a bit more and plenty familiar with Sarah Woodbury. You probably could pull it off as a standalone. Although it happens so close on the heals of book 2, it might actually send you back to that one. You‘d miss the REALLY ODD way Rhys and Catrin end up married. King Edward is WEIRD!!! 2y

unspecified illness. Always a healthy
child, unlike his elder brother Henry,
the death was unexpected and with-
out explanation, since he had already
survived the usual childhood dis-
eases that killed so many children
before the age of five.

didn't hear the news until three days after
Alfonso's death, on August 22nd, the day
they left Caernarfon with their retinue.
Thus, they did not attend the funeral at

I‘m so excited to start this next audiobook, just as soon as I get some sleep. I haven‘t had the energy to actually look at words and interpret their meaning in quite a while, so I‘ve been plodding along with this book, just a few pages at a time since 8 January. With Tom Mumford narrating again, this promises to be a great audiobook, and much easier to handle right now.

GingerAntics @batsy it‘s mostly mystery, honestly. She mixes in historical stuff from wales. The mysteries are fun. This series is fairly new. The Gareth and Gwen Medieval Mysteries are even better (Gwen is just a stronger female character, but Gareth and Rhys are similar types of characters) and it has a bunch of books in itâ€¦ 16 or 17 now I think? I highly recommend either. She also has two really good series about King Arthur. 2y

GingerAntics @batsy Sarah Woodbury is a GREAT author. I highly recommend the audiobooks unless you‘re familiar with the welsh language. She doesn‘t shy away from proper welsh names and the welsh place names. 2y

batsy Thank you! I'll look her up and the Gareth and Gwen series, as well. I'm just terrible at keeping up with a series, though. There's always other books to distract me, lol 2y

GingerAntics @kspenmoll it‘s a good series. It only has three books, so it‘s a good time to get into it. If you like this one, try the Gareth and Gwen Medieval Mystery series. Gwen is a much stronger female. Catrin isn‘t a bad character. I like her. Gwen is just more independent maybe. I‘m not quite sure how to put it. 2y

GingerAntics @kspenmoll wow, how my view of this job has completely changed, especially since I quit last week. That job was a real rollercoaster. Hopefully I can return to reading now and not be so sick anymore. I‘ve been to enough doctors appointments in the last two weeks, and I still have at least one a week for the next six weeks. Hopefully by then I‘ll be back to normal. 2y
