Michelle doesnt believe in fairy tales. Shes a hard-headed businesswoman, making a fresh start in a new town. And when she decides to take over a neglected book shop, she knows the perfect manager. For book-loving Anna, its a dream come trueand not just because it gives her an escape from her three demanding step-children and their adorable but hyperactive Dalmatian. Although shes been thinking that her own fairytale ending hasnt really turned out the way she hoped, Annas passion for the classics is transforming the shop. The customers, and even Michelle, are falling under the spell of the magical stories of romance, adventure, and lost dogs. But when secrets from her past threaten Michelles new beginnings, and trouble strikes at the heart of Annas household, can the wisdom and courage of the stories in the bookshop help the two friendsand those they lovefind their happy ever after?

For #Peace I am going with an author that I always feel at peace reading.

I haven't read all of her books, but she is a great writer, and her romances focus more on the growth of the main character as opposed to the romance itself. And there is always at least one beautiful dog 🐶

Pictured are the covers from
• Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts
• A Hundred Pieces of Me
• The Secret of Happy Ever After

A beautifully charming book about life and family, love and friendship, and all the trials, tribulations and and triumphs therein. A cozy read that flows well and really makes you feel the emotions the characters experience. My first Dillon read, but now I want to run out and find another one! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

JazzFeathers Three books in a weekend? I'll be happy to read one ;) 7y
Born.A.Reader @JazzFeathers this is me being supremely optimistic! Considering I work 2 out of the 3 days of the readathon, I'll be lucky to finish one! I also do this tho because I might be switching between Amy of them if I'm not on the mood for a particular one. 😊😊 7y

The Secret of Happy Ever After involves a bookshop, dogs, and a great list of books mentioned in the novel!

I really enjoyed this one, although I don't like certain characters! What I love about Lucy Dillon is that her books focus more on the development of the main character(s) than the romance, plus the doggies ☺️

Jag har svårt för feel good- böckerna som tar upp teman som våldtäkt, övergrepp och tonårsgraviditet. Tonen är alldeles för lättsam och förbrytare förbli ostraffade.

I like Lucy Dillon, mainly because her romances focus more on the characters themselves with the romance as a sort of secondary plot, and seem to all involve dogs!

This one is set in a small town, where the main character works in a bookshop. I loved the majority of the story, but do not like part of the ending. When it comes to main characters, I'm very particular about who deserves to be with them!

Bücher sind wichtig. Sie sind gleichermaßen eine Inspiration wie eine Flucht vor dem Alltag. Etwas, das größer ist als wir alle zusammen...
