This is a dog me and my dad saved. We are the concerned citizen mentioned. My dads response when i showed him was we should have went to see him. We couldn't give him a home but very likely saved his life. My dad had seen him once 5 days before the day we called and didn't see him again. We checked on him and made the decision to call because of his head wound and the temperatures. I've never had a beagle but he will make someone a great dog.

Yesterday I went to Dog Mountain and the Dog Chapel in Vermont, created by artist Stephen Huneck. Each pew has a carved dog at the end (photo on left). The chapel is papered with photos and notes from folks who miss their sweet companion. (bottom right photo). Located on 150 mountaintop acres where dogs are free to roam. It‘s a very moving experience.
