Guardian | Nicholas Sparks
Julie Barenson's young husband left her two unexpected gifts before he died-a Great Dane puppy named Singer and the promise that he would always be watching over her. Now, four years have passed. Still living in the small town of Swansboro, North Carolina, twenty-nine-year-old Julie is emotionally ready to make a commitment to someone again. But who? Should it be Richard Franklin, the handsome, sophisticated engineer who treats her like a queen? Or Mike Harris, the down-to-earth nice guy who was her husband's best friend? Choosing one of them should bring her more happiness than she's had in years. Instead, Julie is soon fighting for her life in a nightmare spawned by a chilling deception and jealousy so poisonous that it has become a murderous desire...

I just finished this book. It isn't one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books. It was still a good read. Some of the topics in the book affected me a lot. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars!!!

They killed the dog!! I know the dog was protecting its owner, but why did the dog have to die!

Not a great book, but easy to read. I do feel there are still some unanswered questions.

🌟🌟🌟(got 3 because i like the author - if it was a new author i would have given 2, especially after killing the dog!)

1. Last week I did a 4km colour run with my nephew Jake. It was so special. @Amanda23 has great kids 💕
2. Tagged, just a great thriller and showcases an amazing bond between woman and her dog. 🐶
3. Raptors 🦖
4. Harry Potter was big but Twilight just sticks out for me. It had such a huge following, I felt like I was part of a special club. 🧛🏻‍♂️

This is the 4th or 5th time I‘ve read this book and each time it makes me cry. I haven‘t read this since having Juno so the ending was especially tough but the love is so wonderful. It‘s such a great thriller as well. If you love NS then you have to read this book.

Still in a bit of a “have no idea what I want to read” funk so I‘m rereading one of my favourite books. It‘s got everything, romance, suspense and a loving relationship between a woman and her dog. So now I‘m curled up with mine.

Erika13137 @JenReadsAlot Right?! I think I‘ve read it 3 or 4 times but it captures me each time. Im just flying through it. 5y

This was the first Nicholas Sparks book I ever read, probably 10 or 11 years ago. I‘m rereading it now and I‘m so excited and nervous- I hope it‘s just as amazing as I remember!

Its a great book, with both murder, mystery, romance, and a great dane named singer. Like most nicholas sparks books, the romance is actually realistic, not like a lot of other romance books where its like, "we met on monday and were gettin married next friday!". I dont know about you, but i prefer them to be realistic. Also, the ending will make you cry if you have a heart so beware of that. Overall, great book.

Rating: 5/5.

This remains in the top 5 of my "Favorite Nicholas Sparks books." I love that it's not just a love story, but it's also about remembering a loved one from the past and it includes a dog, so any argument against this, is actually invalid.
