I have not been great at posting this month, but I have been reading! This was the second book I read in March. This was also fulfills my “book with a yellow cover” prompt for February‘s #TBRTarot. #MarchMadness #Netgalley Review in comments 👇

MatchlessMarie After reading A Brush With Love which was a so-so read for me, I didn‘t have a lot of expectations for the sequel. I was interested to see how the author would approach adhd. I definitely enjoyed this book more and was impressed with the detail that Lizzie‘s adhd is explored compounded with her dysfunctional family dynamics. 👇 (edited) 13mo
MatchlessMarie Would have been 4/5 for me but the entire launch party/workplace nametag conflict towards the end of the book irritated me so much I dropped a star. It felt forced and like the author was trying to make it an inevitable outcome because of Lizzie‘s adhd which I felt was out of Lizzie‘s character adhd or not. It was just a ridiculous detour to ramp up the conflict and could have executed better or ditched altogether. 👇 13mo
MatchlessMarie I disagree with those who say that Rake was trying to demonize his ex for having an abortion without telling him. That is a gigantic leap. Read it again he says he respected her decision and Lizzie had already made the choice to proceed with her pregnancy before she even told Rake. He wasn‘t pressuring her one way or another, he only wanted to be present every step of the way. 👇

MatchlessMarie Whether it was realistic that he would upend his life and relocate across the globe to be near to the mother of his child was irrelevant to me and did not diminish my enjoyment of the story. This is fiction, after all. Overall I thought it was a solid story with some excellent education on adhd and I enjoyed the author‘s humor. Will probably read the next in the series.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A delight! Spicy, sweet, and filled with lovable characters, I really enjoyed this romance featuring a neurodiverse heroine and a hunky Australian. After a crazy work week, it was the perfect read! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

Didn't realize this was the second in a series until I was well into it. Looks like sub-characters in this one, some of Lizzie's friends, are the mains in that first... Regardless I loved Lizzie and her friends and their unequivocal acceptance of each other regardless of what makes them different from one another. That being said watching Rake take them on in Lizzie's defense was amazing! The story arch ebbed and flowed perfectly and while it...

MaggieCarr ...was a bit more descriptive than I prefer it makes sense with Lizzie's diagnosis, history of gratification and loss, and why she can ultimately get her dream job. 2y

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure that I wanted to read this nor was I sure I'd like it; book 1 in this series was a bit of a downer, and while I enjoyed it, I wasn't sure if I was ready for that again. However, I an assure you that this book was so much fun! Yes, it deals with real issues for adults with ADHD, but Lizzie is so vibrant that it makes reading this so much fun. Also, Rake is a lovely dude and where can I find one for myself?

I really enjoyed how Lizzie and Rake flounder their way through their relationship, pregnancy, Lizzie‘s uncontrolled ADHD and her family. I do not have ADHD, but I felt like Eddings put that imagine into my head extremely well and I could get the chaos that is Lizzie‘s life.

This book won't be coming out until Sept, but I read the eArc.

Lizzie is a bit of a mess, her ADHD is not under control, which makes it difficult for her to work or adult. Baking and sex are the two things that help keep her sane, and sex with a visiting Aussie named Rake? Um yes, please. And then, despite precautions, baby! Love a surprise baby romance, but they are rare these days. Also, love how Lizzie handles her ADHD and her crazy family.
