Wow what a roller coaster this was. As a mother myself it does really get you thinking about how far you would go for your own child. It's a dark and at times emotional read. None of the characters are overly likeable but you can find something relatable to each of them. I felt the most for Rachel the detective. Her story was tough. The plot is a fast paced thrill ride to a clever and brilliant finish. I was hooked from page one. 5*

panRead for one of my online book clubs. I have found that, while I love the crime & thriller genre, I hate psychological thrillers. I have never found one I like. Nevertheless, I I went into this one with an open mind but I have to say, the implausibility of the plot and the depiction of one of the main characters had me despairing within the first couple of chapters.
I saw this book in book e-mail months ago and knew I needed it. Another book I haven‘t even bothered to investigate … purely cover appeal. Another stenciled edge I couldn‘t pass up 😍 🤣
