This was a cute friends-to-lovers Christmas romance. Will and Abbie have both been harboring feelings for the other for years but finally Will is going to do something about it. I liked both characters but wished they were more honest from the start, it was a little frustrating watching them both hide their feelings, worrying they would scare the other one off. I loved the quirky grandma and her cats 🐈

I lost track of how many times I LOLd and forced my roommate to let me tell her what was so funny! Sweet and to the point, this is the opposite of the misunderstanding-that-could've-been-avoied-with-a-simple-conversation trope, and it still manages all of the tension! Plus, there are kittens! You should absolutely read this for the holidays!

It‘s been a rough couple weeks and today I said a final goodbye to a beloved aunt. Trying to wind down with the book form of her most surprising love— holiday romance movies.

Not my favourite Talia Hibbert, tbh, but am I sorry I read it? Of course not. I liked the himbo representation and the fact that the declaration of love finally! arrives while a cat is giving birth in the snow. A bit too much internal monologuing for me, especially because not much else actually happens. #Romantsy #BlackBooks

According to the blurb, “a blizzard leaves Abbie & Will alone.” Um, no. It‘s a 4hr audiobook & 3 hrs in, it‘s snowing but (1) it‘s not a blizzard & (2) they‘re not alone. Her twin & grandmother are there.

But really this story could‘ve been cut in half because it just goes nowhere, mainly with Abbie just being annoying. I also didn‘t care for the female narrator.
