Really enjoying this novel version of She and Her Cat! Half way through now and it flips between the human and feline characters perspectives. Super cute 💜🐈⬛️

I was really looking forward to this book - a soul cleansing read I was told. But unfortunately I found the narrative not so engaging. Not a lot actually happened. The themes of old age, dying, mental health and depression were thought-provoking but there just wasn‘t enough depth for me.
This was a sweet collection of stories about the relationship between cats and their owners from the perspective of both cats and humans. If you're looking for something slow paced and heart warming, this is a great choice.
This slim book of four stories was just what I was in the mood for. Each story is from the point of view of a cat and their human. The stories are all linked through the cats. The illustrations from Rohan Easton fit each story well. 😺
“The girls manga magazines we used to take turns reading at school always ended when the girl got herself a boyfriend, but I discovered that‘s not what happens in real life. Even when you have a boyfriend, there are times when you feel terribly lonely, more so then when you didn‘t have one. 🐈”
All the ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s and all the 😭s.
Thanks to #netgalley for the book in exchange for an honest review.

Harpy says that you should read this book! 🐈⬛
I‘ve been good about not buying too many books, so I got myself a gift. I mean I didn‘t get any for Christmas because I asked for clothes because last year I lost a large amount of weight. 🤣
A cute, heartfelt batch of interconnected short stories based on the animation of the same name. The POV alternates between people and the cats in their lives, which I was wary of. However, it was never too saccharine or cliche for me. In the end, it had a nice message about the ways we are connected as humans without always knowing it.

My first read of 2023 was the perfect start to my book year. A gentle interconnected modern fable, in that beautiful Japanese philosophical style, about cats and their humans and the relationships woven between the two. I loved this.
The author is also the filmmaker of two anime films I really like - Your Name and Weathering With You.

I contemplated posting a favourite cat meme but in the end went for a photo of one of my girls snuggled up on my Oodie😊❤️
I will take literally any reason to post photos of my cats, to be fair!!🤣🤣🐈⬛

This was a sweet short story collection centering on cats in a neighborhood and their owners. It told stories from the perspective of the humans and the cats. It wasn't long, would've been a really quick read but I got sick with covid and didn't have the energy to read. Glad I have some energy again but my cats won't be happy when I go back to work tomorrow. I wonder if they'll talk to the stray cat that comes onto our balcony & what they'll say.
The chances of getting my cats to pose at all, let alone with a festive theme, is nil, so just imagine that this is them waiting for Santa!
