pickI listened to this on a drive back from my hometown and it was what I needed. Jess, a single parent and survivor of domestic abuse, takes a new job she really needs to work out. She‘ll be taking care of an old woman at her vicarage. This book has inspired me to make a later month my own personal Adam Neville author a month. This was spooky, witchy, and tinged with folk horror. The writing was exquisite. 5, kept me awake on the road, stars!

Reggie @Twainy I was sleepy starting my trip back and this story made me sit up and pay attention. Very creepy there for a bit. Not only is this mother going through it with the old woman at the vicarage her abusive husband is still hanging around. 2y
