This was not your typical Christmas book. I liked it a lot for that reason. I was reading this in a constant state of "oh no what's going to happen" and completely relieved by the happy ending. The picture of life with and without technology was well done. I may even borrow a phrase from that simpler time "don't borrow trouble" as it seems to still hold as wise advice.

This was nothing like what I expected and I ended up really enjoying it. It wasn‘t very Christmassy but it was somewhat twisty and kept me listening to see how the story would unfold and then wrap up. Very light romance, which I enjoyed since I‘m not a huge romance reader, and a solid read. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #wintergames #SantasBookshELVES

Decent book for having Christmas themes, thou I‘m not sure how much I‘d call it a Christmas book. Yes, it happens through the week of Christmas and is about family. I did enjoy it. I was expecting more direct holiday feels. Piper going back in time to “meet” her grandmother as a child left more of a understanding of family. 2022 to 1944; there‘s a big leap. Worth a read, just didn‘t live to my preconceived notion‘s. Love Nugget the reindeer
