I‘m late for #5JoysFriday, but still joyful!

1. Time with family (picture is of my niece, her daughter, and my dad)
2. Finishing a bookish puzzle with covers of favorite children‘s books
3. The Olympics! I was obsessed with Artistic Swimming this week—amazing!!
4. Going to see Inside Out 2 (finally!) with my husband
5. Meeting my Spiritual Direction year 1 cohort for the first time last night

TheBookHippie The artistic swimming is fascinating!!! I love it. 1mo

Small joys this week for #5JoysFriday:
The first picture illustrates three joys:
1. My husband folded & put away the laundry without being asked
2. With the laundry put away, I can enjoy the fact that the bed is made & also admire my gorgeous wedding quilt
3. That little Peeps bunny plushie on the bed? I gave it to my husband at Easter as kind of a joke and he LOVES it. Seeing it on the bed (where he keeps it!) makes me smile!
4. Library joys! ⤵️

BarbaraJean 4. (Continued) My hold for The God of the Woods is on its way, and I was able to renew The Alternatives 🎉
5. The Olympics! Specifically the gymnastics, but I love all of it (even though it‘s cutting into my reading time 😆)

#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii I had to look at little joys this week as our nephew, who is only in his 40s, had a heart attack on July 1st. For some reason, it seems younger people are having this problem. He is doing OK but he will have to change a lot in his life.
1. A lady bug in my garden
2. I did a painting.
3. I finished #ISpyBingoFebruary
4. Blackberries ready to pick
5. I had a WaterSkimmer Dragonfly in my yard, never before seen

Bookwormjillk Sorry to hear about your nephew. 2mo
Librarybelle ❤️❤️❤️ 2mo

My daughter got this sweet little book for Christmas. It has a simple activity for each day of the year to bring a moment of joy - an adult might call this mindfulness but I like to think that to a child it is still that wondrous happiness that defines childhood (or should). For example, today we are being "thankful for cuddling" and asked about our favourite cuddly toy. Super cute illustrations as well!
