The Nazi Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill | Brad Meltzer, Josh Mensch
3 posts | 5 read | 1 reading | 3 to read
From the New York Times bestselling authors of The First Conspiracy and The Lincoln Conspiracy comes the little-known true story of a Nazi plot to kill FDR, Joseph Stalin, and Winston Churchill at the height of World War II. In 1943, as the war against Nazi Germany raged abroad, President Franklin Roosevelt had a critical goal: a face-to-face sit-down with his allies Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill. This first-ever meeting of the Big Three in Tehran, Iran, would decide some of the most crucial strategic details of the war. Yet when the Nazis found out about the meeting, their own secret plan took shapean assassination plot that wouldve changed history. A true story filled with daring rescues, body doubles, and political intrigue, The Nazi Conspiracy details FDRs pivotal meeting in Tehran and the deadly Nazi plot against the heads of state of the three major Allied powers who attended it. With all the hallmarks of a Brad Meltzer and Josh Mensch page-turner, The Nazi Conspiracy explores the great political minds of the twentieth century, investigating the pivotal years of the war in gripping detail. This meeting of the Big Three changed the course of World War II. Heres the inside story of how it almost led to a world-shattering disaster.

1. Tagged. I read several good books in February, but this one stood out.
2. On March 8th, I'm finally flying to the Philippines, after having to delay because of covid and my former job closing. I wish it was a longer trip, but only until the 18th.
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView #Two4Tuesday

26/150 Few authors write non-fiction history like Brad Meltzer. This book doesn't read like history, instead it feels like a top-flight thriller. Like his previous books, The First Conspiracy & The Lincoln Conspiracy, Meltzer keeps you on the edge of your seat as he details the plot, the participants and the final outcome. Even knowing the ending doesn't spoil his story. I highly recommend the audiobook, Scott Brick does an AMAZING job!!

RamsFan1963 He also narrated the other two books I mentioned, which are also excellent and I highly recommend. This is my first 5 🌟 read of 2023. 1st book finished for #20in4 readathon @Andrew65 2y
MonicaLoves2Read One of my favorite authors. You are so right. His nonfiction books don't read like nonfiction. 2y
Andrew65 Well done, I love his books. 👏👏👏 2y

RamsFan1963 Does this book take place during the summit in Tehran? I'm just curious, it sounds like a book I read a couple of years ago called Night of the Assassins by Howard Blum. I want to read this, I enjoyed The First Conspiracy and The Lincoln Conspiracy by the same author. 2y
Reecaspieces @RamsFan1963 yes it does. And I highly recommend it. 2y
