I adore these characters!! This was fantastic on audio. Exactly what I needed to read right now. I loved seeing how this family has grown and strengthened as a whole and as individuals.

5⭐️ I watched the whole trail of Alex Murdaugh when it was on CourtTV. I was happy to find this book on the LibbyApp and read it. It brought into the whole crazy story the history of the Murdaugh Family. The first part of the book was about Alex's great-great-grandfather and how he opened the law firm in 1920. It showed how the Murdaugh's have always thought they were above the law. It was like it was ingrained into them. I think this is ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read is an excellent book. If you were intrigued by the case, this is a most read. It is well-written and well researched. All True Crime fans should read it.

😊 Happy Reading 😊 #TrueCrime #Nonfiction #Read2025 ##Bookspinbingo

First off, trigger warning for diet culture and eating disorders, particularly anorexia. This book deals heavily with anorexia and the toxic diet industry, so please be aware of that. I thought the book did a good job exploring these two topics. I found all the discussion on the diet industry and how it is designed to fail to be so fascinating.

My #BookSpinBingo so far. Stuck on current read -tagged - love the Gamache series but this one is slow moving for me (Three Pines not featured in it)- I will finish though because as a series I need to see how the characters progress!! One slow read out of a series isn't too bad right?

Make a great day everyone 🙂

Bookwormjillk This one is slower but it really sets up the next few books which are amazing 🤩 2d
bthegood @Bookwormjillk thx, that is a good motivator for me - 🙂 2d
JamieArc I feel like a lot of people say similarly and that this is the least of their favorite Gamache books but funny enough, this is the book that got me into the series because I wanted to read about a monastery and Gregorian chant. 2d
Suet624 @JamieArc oooh, you may have just encouraged me to try a Penny book. 2d
bthegood @Suet624 @JamieArc I love the fact that different things will draw a reader in - it is a good series 🙂 1d

The third book in the Lake in the Clouds series was wonderful. March has built such a lovely community filled with characters I love for all of their qualities— good and bad. I can imagine sitting around a fire pit or canoeing with these people.

Aurora was first introduced as a supporting character in Bean Wishing For a Latte Love. I‘m glad she was center stage in this one. Another fun Coffee Loft book.

Another bonkers adventure with Carl, Princess Donut and friends. This one took inspiration from Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. The game play doesn‘t always make sense, but the characters and true stakes for all involved continues to make this a new favorite series! 4.5⭐️

This is basically a history about French chaos and Berthe Morisot with a bit of Manet. She's an icon and I'm glad I took a break from (paused) my fantasy trend to give her some of my headspace.

Time To Go House | Walter D. Edmonds

My mom got this as a library discard when I was a kid, and I always loved it growing up. Smalleata is a mouse whose clan moves into the human house across the field when winter comes (and the people leave for the season). There, she falls in love with a house mouse. Lots of adventures, but it's actually pretty intense for a children's book, as some of the mice get eaten! I really enjoyed this reread and still find this a delightful book. And it ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) may help explain my reluctance to set mousetraps 😂

Suet624 I was thinking I should find it for one of my grandkids but then .... mice get eaten!!

TheAromaofBooks @Suet624 - It's intense but not graphic. Kind of along the lines of the original Bambi book. One mouse gets eaten because he is willing to sacrifice himself to help the others get away. And a rat gets hunted down by weasels in what is probably the scariest scene of the book. I loved this book when I was 12ish, but it's a book I would read first before handing to a younger reader to make it's not too intense. 3d
