Heart, Haunt, Havoc | Freydis Moon

Laced with romance, gothic imagery, Catholic mysticism, diaspora, and horror... When lonely transgender exorcist, Colin Hart, finds himself challenged by an unruly haunted house in Gideon, Colorado, he's kept awake by ghosts, demons, ghouls, and the handsome nonbinary homeowner, Bishop Martnez. Unlike the simple hauntings Colin is accustomed to, Bishop's house is a living beacon, attracting a plethora of inhuman creatures, including a vengeful wolf-headed spirit who might be the key to quieting their sleepless nights. But as a heartbreaking mystery unravels, Colin comes face-to-face with the past Bishop tried to bury, opens a closet full of bloody skeletons, and trips into an accidental romance. As paranormally skilled as Colin might be, this particular haunting may be too messy for him to handle...

A very atmospheric story about a haunted house. The owner of the house is being haunted and hires someone to cleanse it. The secrets of the house and owner slowly get revealed as the step progresses.

This was such a quick read, but that‘s not to say there wasn‘t a lot to enjoy! The whole book follows two characters as they try to clean a house of its ghosts. Finding out who the ghosts are and their connection to the owner is the plot of the book. Lots of different kinds of magic and memory. Really really liked it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I LOVED THIS. One of the best books I've read this year, and it's only 153 pages! Magic (of various kinds), romance, horror, queer main characters, resilience.

I'm definitely going to read more from this talented author.

Third book for the #transrightsreadathon complete.

DimeryRene I heard about this yesterday on tiktok. 💕 Sounds goooooooood!! 13mo
