BEING DEVELOPED AS A TV SERIES BY FOX NETWORK "An expertly rendered mystery, complete with compelling characters, an impeccably paced plot, and surprising twists...A must-read!" --Heather Gudenkauf, bestselling author of The Overnight GuestA scientist and reluctant psychic is brought in to find a girl who went missing long ago in the new novel by Julia Heaberlin, the bestselling author of We Are All the Same in the Dark Vivvy Bouchet, daughter of a known psychic, was ten when she saved a boy's life by making an impossible prediction. Now she's an astrophysicist in Texas, devoted to science, but the boy she saved has become a cop who continues to believe she can see things no one else can. When he begs for help on the high-profile cold case of a kidnapped girl, Vivvy steps back into the ocean of voices that once nearly drowned her. She is forced to team up with detective Jesse Sharp, a skeptic of anything but fact. When Vivvy becomes the target of a conspiracy theorist podcaster, she fights back with both her scientific mind and her inexplicable gifts, hoping to lure a kidnapper, find a child who haunts her, and lay some of her own ghosts to rest. Sharply relevant, Julia Heaberlin's Night Will Find You explores the mysterious nature of belief--in psychic power, in science, in conspiracies, in a higher power--and the delicate dance between scientific truth and the things we can't explain.

This was an original spin on the kidnapping mystery. The core mystery was very interesting and how it unraveled was riveting. The biggest flaw of this book is probably editing. The author had so many ideas and there are just a few too many here. I did like the main character and the psychic abilities were well used. The main relationship was a bit clumsy and the current events included will feel outdated very quickly.⬇️

Nessavamusic I am intrigued to see what else this author will write though. 3.5⭐️ 12mo
Emilymdxn Sounds promising if she gets her hands on a better editor! 12mo

Touché Bouchet - still makes me smile!

Vivvy Bouchet - astrophysicist & paranoid psychic. Her mom was also a psychic. Her relationship with her sister & her sister‘s hubby is complicated!

Viv is helping in a strange case of a missing girl who‘s mom is incarcerated for her murder. Body never found & mom is professing her innocence.

Throw in another complicated relationship with Sharp, the hunky cop & this case is a twisty whirlwind.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3.25⭐
I want to say that I loved this…but I really can‘t because I found the story difficult to follow overall. It felt like it had too much going on. And while I did catch on towards the end…I just can‘t really say I enjoyed it as much as everyone else. I can say that it didn‘t have anything to do with the 'psychic abilities'…I actually liked the way that aspect was handled.

Science, psychic powers, and conspiracy, oh my!

Vivvy Bouchet, an astrophysicist with a reluctant psychic ability, finds herself drawn back into the world of the paranormal when a cop she once saved seeks her help in solving a long-unsolved kidnapping case.

The lines between reality and the unknown blur with this one making for a fun mystery thriller read!

#WondrousWednesday @Eggs

1) Night will find you by Julia Heaberlin
2) I‘m always intrigued when a psychic tries to help the police try to solve a case
3) Anywhere if I like the book. Just read one in space 👍❤️, one in MN 👍❤️, now I‘m in a retelling of Cinderella that is really good (Thief Liar Lady) 👍❤️. I‘ll go anywhere if it‘s a good book.

Eggs Thanks for the great responses 🩷 1y

Vivvy‘s ex Mike is now a cop and knows she can sometimes “see” things (she doesn‘t say psychic), and occasionally has her look over some cases. She thus ends up wrapped up in a case of a missing girl whose mother is in prison for her murder. I really liked this! It feels like this could be the start of a series and I hope so. She kept me absorbed and guessing the whole time.

I‘m excited that #BOTM is improving the audiobook experience and you can now choose them as your monthly pick easier. This one looked very interesting!

ICantImReading I‘m excited about this feature, too! Even though I got confused and didn‘t realize I wouldn‘t be able to get a hardcover add-on after selecting an audiobook 😆 I also thought this audiobook looked interesting! 1y

Haeberlin‘s 6th book hooked me in from the very start! Vivvy Bouchet is an astrophysicist but along with her mother, has a gift of seeing & hearing unexplained flashes from the past & future. While her mother made something of a career of it, Vivvy focuses her attention on quietly helping cold cases on the side. But when she gets pulled into a missing child case after a decade, certain that the child is alive, past & present pull her unexpectedly!
