Getting ready for some July BRs. I appreciate the freedom of some kindle unlimited titles like these to easily switch back and forth from book to audiobook.

The themes of misogyny and the importance of all kinds of friendships resonated with me. 5⭐️

I read this in high school so definitely needed a refresher. Now I‘m ready for James with #CampLitsy24
My daughter earned a few ND‘s from library summer reading programs gone by. Mystery number 8 is one she has on her shelf. I finished it today and look forward to the #NancyDrewBR discussion on Saturday. I enjoyed this one.
I really enjoy Collins‘ writing. I remember tearing through the trilogy so many years ago. This was quite a villain‘s origin story. Looking forward to discussing it with my daughter.
Picked this up from the library today. I‘m looking forward to digging in, knowing I‘ll get to discuss the first half on Saturday with #CampLitsy24
I read three more in the series. Still enjoying Agatha‘s sleuthing.
Starting my daughter‘s Mother‘s Day gift to me today: a BR with her. #firstlinefridays
I have known for years that my favorite band‘s name is based on this play. I finally took the time to listen. It is a very emotional, moving story. A character knowingly sends faulty airplane parts from his factory during WWII. It causes the death of twenty-one pilots. The character tries to justify his decision. Twenty One Pilots explains their name is a constant reminder to make the right decision even though it might be the hard decision.
Came across the #CampLitsy24 summerlong BR via Litsy Events, and these books look amazing. Hosted by @BarbaraBB @Megabooks @squirrelbrain
Decided to read about the albatross and found out - water, water everywhere, not a drop to drink - is also from this classic work.
Enjoyed the discussion this week with the #NancyDrewBR for number 7 in the series.
We‘ll continue with one a month if you‘d like to join in the fun.
Still really enjoying this series.
I tore through the third book in the series. I love Agatha just as her new friends in the village she retired to do. On to book four!
When I saw this was the dress code of the 2024 Met Gala I decided to read it. Just six pages. Very interesting. It should be fun to see how people interpret it in their outfits on Monday.
Another clever cozy with comic relief from our heroine getting herself into ridiculous jams along the way. I‘ll definitely continue with this series.
This has been on my tbr for quite some time. I‘m glad I finally jumped in. I liked this one so much I‘m going straight into book two without a break.
I had never heard of the Amelia Peabody books, but when I saw it for a BR and read the description it sounded pretty good. I really enjoyed it and plan to continue with the adventure series.
#FirstLineFridays I‘ve had this on my tbr for ages. Finally started it this week and enjoying it.
I listened to the Talented Mr. Ripley in October. When I saw there is a new Netflix series, I decided to listen to the second of the five books before watching. Just because. #readbeforewatching I enjoyed both books. The narrating is really well done too.
This time I read the revamped edition, not the original story from the 1930s. I like Nancy‘s loyal friends Bess & George. Nancy again proves herself clever, brave, and selfless as she helps in the hardships of a new friend. My library book is staged here with my daughter‘s books she earned in library summer reading programs gone by. I look forward to discussing this one with #NancyDrewBR tomorrow.
I started this classic today. Thought you might like to guess the book rather than have me tag it. My first time reading it. #FirstLineFridays
A thriller set on Catalina Island. My husband and I both enjoyed this one.
Tom Lake is on my tbr. I understand it refers to Our Town a few times. This was a quick read. Good to be knowledgeable of this classic I‘m sure.
I read this with a book club years ago. Though not what I normally choose on my own, I enjoyed it. #SundayFunday @BookmarkTavern
Listened to this today on a walk, and running errands. Less than 1.5 hours, just what I needed this morning. The timing of narrators Linney and Hecht is perfection.
Truly enjoyed the last two books in this fun Love Clichés rom-com series. The last book not only included the other couples from the series well, but graciously provided TWO epilogues. Superb way to end the series.
I really enjoyed this one. My third Emily Henry.
I read the kindle unlimited ebook with audiobook included. I like being able to jump between reading and listening as my activities allow. This story has some inventive elements and I enjoyed the cast of characters, the letters, the flashbacks (1941) and the current day (set in 1984).
I read this as a team book for a readathon this month. I had never heard of it, and learned some things about the Philippines I wouldn‘t have otherwise.
I began with St. Clair‘s Graham Brothers series, set in Sheet Cake, TX which is a spin off of this series. So now I‘m seeing how it all started. This is the second of the series and I plan to dive right into book three.
This original 1931 version was a bit boring. Lots of the girls getting lost on the trails near the ranch, or getting caught in a storm. This felt more like a story with wild coincidences at the end rather than a mystery. Discussing it with the #NancyDrewBR is fun though and I certainly don‘t 👎🏻 that!
#NancyDrewBR Happy to finally have George and Bess in the mix!
1 out of every 671 baby boys and 1 out of every 254,212 baby girls born in 2021 are named George.

Super fun banter and sweet friendships in this cliché rom-com. I look forward to the rest in the series for each friend to find her perfect match and HEA.
I love this question.
Have you read any of these? Sometimes we forget just how old these popular books are.

The Sorrows of Young Werther, Wolfgang von Goethe, 1774

This sounded kinda interesting, found an audiobook for free so gave it a try. I enjoyed it way more than I anticipated. Low expectations win the day again.
I started a holiday cozy series that begins with St Paddy‘s Day but bailed after two typo riddled chapters. This Farmers Market Sisters series about seven sisters begins at Valentine‘s Day, so I read that first. These are short, so I got through them quickly. They are a bit bland though. No fun banter - all the characters kinda take themselves a bit too seriously. Not sure I‘ll continue with the series.
#libraryhaul In prep for #NancyDrewBR and #TropeIcalReadathon on X(twitter)
Really enjoyed this as a BR with @StayCurious hosting for #Pemberlittens #JaneAdjacent
It was fun, with lots of Austen references.
Finished listening to The Improbable Meet-Cute Valentine‘s series. With Any Luck was fine, not my favorite trope. Royal Valentine was cute, but a bit predictable.
Enjoyed this for the #NoPlaceLikeHolmes BR. I read it years ago and chose to do the reread with an audiobook. I give it 4⭐️. Again.
Still time to join us for The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, which is a short story collection. We discuss the first one Saturday 2/24.
I read this with the #RandomClassic group. It was my first time reading it. I really enjoyed it, and was surprised by the Christian themes. I had of course heard the title many times but had been unaware the author was an abolitionist. I‘ve read civil rights/social justice fiction and non-fiction books through the years that prepared me and I still learned a lot.
Amazing. My fifth Moriarty, and I adore them all. High hopes for the upcoming series. #ReadBeforeWatching
#FirstLineFridays Started this yesterday for #NancyDrewBR - Discussion 2/15 if you‘d like to join us.
