Those We Drown is a YA horror set on the cruise line ship, The Nepethe. There is something terribly insidious and dark going on. The workers, the three influencers nicknamed “The Sirens”, and even the captain have cold, dead eyes as vast as the sea.
Going in, I didn‘t know this was a YA and I wish I did. I was not the target audience for this book. Overall, it was fun but not for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #twowitches #hauntedshelf #spooktober

#titlesandtunes #dramaqueen
Drama Queen was even mentioned in this and nothing says drama queen quite like a YA story. About the story: Suffice it to say, this didn‘t live up to the potential that I thought it could‘ve been. It does have a really pretty cover, though.

I've recently discovered Taylor Acorn and this song felt like it fit...https://open.spotify.com/album/4toEJiFEggtxsZPewZmLat

Pickpick

I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought I would. I don‘t usually read a lot of YA books but I decided to subscribe to the YA box from OUABC because they‘ve all sounded so good lately. This one was not a disappointment. I read it in one day because it just sucked me in and didn‘t let go. And the cover is gorgeous! This is definitely a time when I‘ve judged a book by its cover!

Just casually browsing new in titles on audio from my public library, and what do I see? @AmyG do you have something to tell us? 🧐🤔🤗 I may read it just for that reason, though YA horror usually isn‘t what I‘d choose. Sounds somewhat intriguing though!

AmyG Ha! I reserved the audio when it‘s released. I hope my book doesn‘t suck. 😬 (edited) 1y
