#DebutByIndigenousAuthor I tend to think of debut works as emerging artists, but it‘s always cool to go back and see where people started. Joy Harjo‘s first publication was apparently this 9 poem chapbook put out in 1975 by Puerto del Sol a literary magazine which still exists run by the MFA creative writing program at New Mexico University. I would LOVE to read a copy of this chapbook, but so far I haven‘t found one anywhere. #BookBinge
