🎧📖 enjoyed seeing where Mitch & Abby were at. This takes place 15 years after ‘The Firm‘. IMO, this can definitely could be read as a standalone.

This novel is a follow up on The Firm. Mitch and Abby McDeere return 15 years later. Mitch is an attorney in one of the largest firms in the world. Life is about to get very frightening for the McDeeres. Their 8 year old twins are ushered away to keep them safe. Abby is drawn into terrifying scenarios when a colleagues adult daughter is kidnapped. As the crimes unfold the reader can‘t help but wonder what will happen next. 4/5
Did I need this sequel to The Firm? Maybe not but I loved it. Grisham brings back Mitch and Abbey after 15 years and I loved every page. Mitch is “running” again. Go ahead and read it🧑⚖️👨⚖️🧑⚖️👨⚖️
Not the world‘s greatest book, but giving it a pick for the nostalgia of re-visiting Mitch and Abby from The Firm.
I usually love a John Grisham book, but was somewhat disappointed in The Exchange. I was expecting to see Mitch, who I will always picture as Tim Cruise, in a huge legal battle in court. Instead, I got a book about trying to free an associate. It just wasn't the usual Grisham book. I couldn't get attached to any of the characters, bc they were only there for a bit. 3.5⭐

Perhaps more like 3.5. Definitely not the strongest Grisham novel, in that lots of the action takes place off stage, and there‘s lots of narration of travel and movement, rather than of the mechanisms of the plot itself. Still relatively compelling but I could have been more invested in the details.
Watching the original and reading the sequel 😆🤣😂
Just running thru this one love John Grisham. Haven‘t read his books in years and this one picks up after THE FIRM. So reading this I see Tom Cruze😛 He always delivers in his books just can‘t put them down.🙌🏾🙌🏾
Sequel to The Firm, which seems so long ago…fifteen years later, and Mitch and Abby are living in Manhattan, where Mitch is a partner at the largest law firm in the world. Mitch finds himself at the center of a sinister plot that has worldwide implications…

I listened to this today while de-Christmasing the house. I liked it, but I think there were parts that would have bored me trying to read it because of all the necessary moving parts to tell the story. Like some Grisham stories, it left me feeling torn at the end. Definitely worth the time if you liked Mitch and Abby McDeere in The Firm and would like to root for them again!
“The Firm” was my first Grisham. I loved it & was hooked on his stories for many years. It‘s been a while since I read one, but I couldn‘t pass up reading about what Mitch & Abby are up to now- 15 years after the Firm ended. For all Grisham fans, check this one out.
"On the forty-eighth floor of a glistening tower on the southern tip of Manhattan, Mitch McDeere stood alone in his office and gazed out the window at Battery Park and the busy waters beyond."
Reading by the Christmas Tree😀
One of my favourite parts of the holiday season.
The Exchange is full of suspense and more thrilling moments than I can count. With a slow build to pull you in it soon becomes impossible to put the book down.

Aside from finding it odd this exited right from a death row legal thriller to become a story of international intrigue, it‘s a good book.
Mitch is now a NYC partner in a law firm spanning the world and Abby is a cookbook editor. …Funny thing is, Mitch and Abby are 15 book years older and I‘ve loved them for 30 IRL years- all I wanted was to read either or both of them in every scene and hear about their personal lives with their twin boys!
Square Books delivered the most beautiful, signed first edition of John Grisham‘s latest novel, The Exchange, to my mailbox. This book is a follow-up to The Firm and I can‘t wait to find out what happened to Mitch and Abby McDeere!
Square Books is a top notch independent bookseller, in Oxford, Mississippi. They have a website that makes ordering signed first editions online ultra convenient. I was surprised to see the extra goodies in the box.

This was actually a soft pick for me which was surprising as it‘s a Grisham book, and I usually enjoy them across the board. This takes up with Mitch McDeere (from The Firm) 15 years after his perilous escape from a corrupt law firm in Memphis. Now in Manhattan, Mitch is a partner at the world‘s largest law firm and is asked to fly to Libya to document construction of Gaddafi‘s desert “bridge to nowhere”that his client is suing for payment of. 🔻
