I‘ve read a lot of books in the second half of September, but haven‘t posted many.

I randomly picked this up at the library. I didn‘t even realize it was by Katee Robert‘s until I brought it home.

This one has a bit of portal magic. Where our MC is running away and goes through a portal and ends up in the Threshold. She fights back and questions everything.

I really liked this book. A steamy romance with pirates.

This started off a little slow for me, and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this pirate romance set on in a realm between realms and ruled by the Cŵn Annwn pirates, but I ended up loving where the story went. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and learn more about what's really going on in this realm.

This is my 2nd Katee Robert & I wanted to like it because I like her, but 😬 it was very readable & I liked the sass of the FMC… but gosh was it predictable. A complete lack of tension. But if you want brain candy with witches, vampires, pirates, tattoos, smut (that sometimes reads like an instruction manual, but sometimes is ok) & instalove maybe it‘s for you.

Slump City. Population: me. 🙍‍♀️

I'm hoping that a short and spicy pirate/witch romantasy will drag me right out of this horrible reading slump that I'm in. 😭😭😭
..plus it's cold outside..so I'm hoping wherever this pirate ship is sailing there will be warm weather there 🏴‍☠️😎🌴

This was my first book by Katee Robert and it certainly won‘t be the last. I loved this story so much. The chemistry and the spice were great! I am so ready for the second book already!
