@BucklingBookshelves Here's my set! I also have a copy of Linnets & Valerians somewhere in the house, but I can't seem to locate it at the moment. 😀
BucklingBookshelves Oooh those are so nice! 😍 I definitely would have brought those home with me if I found them at a bookstore! (edited) 5y
BucklingBookshelves Also, I just printed out some reading log type sheets for 2020 and I made a bunch for authors I want to make a point of reading more of — Goudge was one of them. I‘ll have to see how many I get to this coming year!📚📚📚 5y
smilingshelves @BucklingBookshelves Now I'm curious! What other authors are on your list? 5y

LeahBergen Oh, pretty! 😍 5y
BucklingBookshelves @smilingshelves I‘m probably being over ambitious, but I picked 12 (including some illustrators) My general idea is to read at least one by each & then to see if I can manage to read several more by at least a couple of them during 2020... the others are Marguerite de Angeli, LM Montgomery, CS Lewis, Rumer Godden, Kate Seredy, Natalie Savage Carlson, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Tasha Tudor, Barbara Cooney, & Trina Schart Hyman. 5y
BucklingBookshelves @smilingshelves they are nothing fancy, but I can email them to you if you want and you could customize however you like! 5y
BucklingBookshelves @smilingshelves P.S. I almost added George MacDonald, but I actually don‘t have too many of his books! I‘ll have to fix that. Lol 5y
smilingshelves @BucklingBookshelves Sure, send them along! I've never heard of a couple of these, so I'm curious to see what's out there. Next year, you definitely should include George MacDonald. I read a book of his during Holy Week every year, and they're wonderful. Slow-moving, for sure, but profound. 5y
