pickA sweet and easy to read romance between a ballet dancer and a hockey player! I loved the characters in this book and the fact that it was set in Minnesota was also fun! Highly recommend this one!

pickSweet romance between a widowed, single father hockey player & a woman recovering from the physical & emotional ravages of trying to make it as a professional ballet dancer. It dealt with some heavy topics while being both realistic & positive about them. I loved that the hero was explicit about coming to understand the burden of the family‘s emotional labour that his wife had borne for him. While sex happens & is talked about it‘s not graphic.
Really liked this contemporary romance. There were a couple of plot points that made me go “hmmm“ at first and then it turned out they really added to the story.
pickI had to read it. I had no idea that people used the term ‘Canadian boyfriend‘ for a fake one ( to explain why he wasn‘t around) this was easy and sweet but covered some hard targets ( grief, eating disorders, therapy) I thought the therapy sessions were handled well, the sex wasn‘t overly spicy or formulaic. Romance isn‘t a go to genre for me but this was fun
I have to admit, I love the title. I think this is hilarious. “He‘s not fake…he‘s Canadian.”
So far, it‘s cute.

pickThis was one of my most anticipated this month and I was not disappointed! Very cute and sweet romance that does go into some heavy topics (TW for eating disorders and spousal death). My only complaint is that the FMC referred to the male love interest by his whole name for the entire book. 😬 That was cute for about a minute then it was just annoying. And unnecessary. But I really did enjoy it overall!

pickThis was the type of audiobook that makes me walk a few extra blocks so that I can keep listening - great narration and a story that is sweet but not lacking in emotional oomph. Both characters learn some hard lessons on their journey and I always love well done character growth. What I didn‘t love was the blown out of proportion conflict. It was frustrating not necessary at all. #fourfoursin24 #balletcrochet
