Add in some excellent side characters, beautiful writing, and it‘s a contender for favorite romance of the year 😻
pickLord Peter wants guardianship of his younger half-siblings, but the judge hearing his case dislikes him. Lady Selina, a friend who is excellent at fixing things, organizing, and general problem solving, suggests that Peter (who is American and inherited his title) marry well into English society, to make himself more agreeable to the judge. I laughed a lot and recommend this friends-to-lovers romance!

Selina is excellent at fixing things. When Duke Peter Kent needs to become more respectable to become the guardian of his younger siblings, Selena decides to fix the situation by getting him married to someone very respectable. Someone who isn't secretly running a circulating library like she is.
I really enjoyed this book. I particularly liked Georgiana and hope I can read more about her in future books.

This Friends-To-Lovers romance reminded me of "Romancing Mister Bridgerton". A friend, in this case Lady Selina, is trying to help Lord Peter to find a suitable wife. He needs a respectable wife, because he wants to gain guardianship of his siblings and knows the judge presiding over his case has a grudge against him. By the time this book is set, Selina and Peter have known each ⬇️
