Celebrating some Black woman magic, highlighted by the incomparable Sharon Jones! She didn't record her first album until she was 40, and died from cancer in 2016, but rocked the world for those 20 years. Enjoy #tuesdaytunes

TieDyeDude @Kerrbearlib @lil1inblue I think Yola popped up in a Spotify shuffle once. I know @thekidupstairs posted about her before. I have spent more time listening to Lady Bri, but they are both great! 1mo
TieDyeDude @amyG So jealous! There is a Christmas concert on YouTube from WXPN/World Cafe that I love watching. 1mo
TheKidUpstairs 2016 was a bitch of a year. Lost so many great musicians that year. Love Sharon Jones, she was really at the top of her game, had so much more great music to give. 1mo
vivastory Yes! One of THE BEST events I ever attended was when her cancer was in remission. Valerie June (another favorite) opened for her, but Jones was just absolutely next level 1mo
