BarbaraBB Hi! You‘ve been so quiet lately. Missing you and your fun posts. I hope you are doing well - and reading of course. 😘 5y
emilyhaldi Thanks for checking in @BarbaraBB 🥰 July was a rough month and didn‘t allow much time for reading... hoping August is better! Hope you enjoyed your world travels!!! 🍾 5y
BarbaraBB I hope August is better for you and that you‘ll feel good. My travels were limited to a week of sailing in Greece but I do feel kind of reborn now, so it was well worth it. Now back in the city and trying to keep up my spirits. Take care 💕 5y

Mehso-so

“Actually she didn‘t have as much work done as people think she had. One a scale from one to Michael Jackson, she was a six.”

A more accurate title would be: “The Book of Melissa ... Oh, and Her Mother.” I love Joan, but I‘ve always found Melissa a bit annoying, so expectations were low. Though her narration was fine, she tried too hard to be funny too often, and it didn‘t always work. Rating #soso because the love for her mom really emanated.

Posh_Salad I was wondering about this one. Melissa always put me off a bit, too. 7y
Notafraidofwords I really disliked Joan rivers. Respect her hustle but just didn‘t like her. 7y
britt_brooke @Notafraidofwords She‘s definitely a love-hate. 7y

britt_brooke @LazyLimaLife It‘s okay on audio, but I don‘t know that I‘d recommend it. 7y
emilyhaldi I agree, Melissa has nowhere near as fascinating as Joan! Good to know that this book focuses a lot on her... I still miss Joan, she ruled!!! 😢 7y
britt_brooke @emilyhaldi I‘m not usually sad when celebrities pass away, but I was so sad when she died. She seemed like one of those people who would live forever. 7y

An entertaining, loving tribute to Joan Rivers by her daughter, Melissa.

Humorous read! The love Joan and Melissa had for each other comes through loud and clear in this book. It was a lovely tribute by a daughter to her mother.
