This was the only possible book choice for the end of the Eras. A comfort read for any Swiftie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this dive into Taylor‘s music! Must read for any Swiftie. #wintergames #christmaschapterchasers @StayCurious
While Sheffield doesn‘t shy away from Taylor Swift‘s failures and missteps (“when she fails, she doesn‘t do it modestly,” page 9), it‘s not a critical work or a take-down. This is a book of admiration, of curiosity and wonder, one that highlights Taylor Swift‘s commitment to creative autonomy (e.g., the phenomenon of Taylor‘s Versions). Taylor Swift is a phenomenon. I‘ve been a fan since “Tim McGraw” in 2006. My best friends and I have grown up with Taylor, lived her lyrics through each era, and went the Eras Tour last summer. This book had very little I didn‘t already know but it was a comfort read. Sheffield does make some things about himself but covers Taylor‘s music without going deep into her personal life. A good read for new Swifties. Pictured w my friendship bracelets.
Just watched Rob Sheffield on Morning Mika.
As someone who used to love pop music back in the 80s, I find myself singing Taylor‘s lyrics because they do remind me of different times in my life. Plus they‘re catchy!
This book seems perfect because I‘m less interested in Taylor‘s personal life, and much more interested in her creative process & business acumen.
