I thoroughly enjoyed this literary, travelogue romance with a UK setting. I mean, how could a book that features attendance at the Whitby Goth Festival with a bus-full of totally game octogenarians be anything other than delightful? Castles, sheep, British slang, & cream tea only richen the pot.
I have some complaints, however…
First, the conflict hinges upon a stupid, avoidable misunderstanding. I hate this trope. Just talk to each other! 👇🏻
Finally, an enemies to lovers story where the characters are funny, not cruel and the supporting characters are more than just cardboard cutouts to hold a space. Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for an advance copy.
I really loved this one! Woman finds herself alone, unemployed, and unsatisfied and takes a spur of the moment trip that will change her life. A literary bus ride through the UK? Yes, please! When she discovers all the other tour members are centenarians, the bus is less than modern, and the driver enjoys messing with her, will she find a way to enjoy herself? 😉 Reader, she will! #netgalleygroup #BookspinBingo #Doublespin
