I really loved this one! Woman finds herself alone, unemployed, and unsatisfied and takes a spur of the moment trip that will change her life. A literary bus ride through the UK? Yes, please! This was just okay for me. A good escape during a difficult time that make me grin and laugh but I wanted a little more depth from@these characters. So delightful! Laugh out loud while you follow this Irish family through the ups and downs of life. Addiction, moving to another country, Covid, and home renovations make for a great story and Meleady manages to find humor while she continues to work hard to make sure her family is happy and healthy. This was a lot of fun. Definitely laughed out loud in places and enjoyed getting to learn about her journey to where she is now and her side tours and obstacles along the way. She is just as open and charming in this book as she is in person and onstage. If you are a fan or a woman of a similar age, I think you‘ll get a lot out of this book. GenX strong women for the win! My goodness! This debut was nearly perfect! Heartbreakingly honest, romantic, sad, and hard to put down. These characters are dealing with tough challenges, grief, mental illness, complicated families, and painful histories but they manage to get through to the other side with the support of others and a love of literature. It was so moving and hard to believe this was Bickers‘ first novel. I can‘t wait for the next! Releases 9/2 #netgalleygroup
