She's always dreamed of her wedding day. And those dreams never included saying "I do" to a man she hates. But when Tabitha's nephew's guardianship is contested, she decides she'll do whatever it takes to keep him in Rose Hill. Even if it means marrying the enemy.Rhys Dupris.A man who is secretive, broody, and completely infuriating. A man whose work takes him away for weeks on end and brings him back covered in mysterious bruises--ones he won't talk about. In fact, Tabitha and Rhys barely talk at all.Which would be fine, except when he's not talking, he's staring. And the way he looks at her is borderline indecent. The tension between them has always been palpable. But living under the same roof is a dangerous temptation.Tabitha swore she would never forgive him. But that was before she knew the man behind the mask. The one who's fierce and protective. The one who's gentle and patient. The one who shows up for her and her nephew when they need him most. He's not at all who she thought he was.And that makes hating her husband so much harder...and loving him just a little too easy.

(Mars is very excited for Wrestlemania weekend)

This was quite enjoyable even though I was only in it for the luchador subplot. Lots of trauma in the set up but it‘s not entirely miserable. Spice was good (though some of the dirty talk seemed out of character at times). Lots of “that‘s my wife”, understandable miscommunications

TEArificbooks My son had the same red mark on his forehead when he was born. It did fade with time. Now it is only is seen when he is dehydrated. 1d
5feet.of.fury @TEArificbooks awww, now when ever I see babies with them I get so excited, I feel like I never noticed it before. He has the storkbite, & marks on his eye & spots at the back of his neck. I think it‘s already fading a bit, it was very dark initially. How old is your son? When did it stop being visible? 1d

This is my other “Wrestlemania” read. I haven‘t read the other books in this series, or anything else by this author & I don‘t even really like contemporary romance but that‘s whatever I heard Silver based the MMC aesthetics on Roman Reigns & I was like ok I‘m in. But his name is Rhys Dupris.. this man is Samoan. & he‘s not telling her he‘s a wrestler because it‘s “embarrassing”. He‘s on TV, he‘s not an indie death match wrestler.

5feet.of.fury I just don‘t see it. And like, she could easily google him. I know that‘s books and we have to invent problems but she‘s thinking shady things about him it‘s really solvable lmao 3d

It was ok, solid 4 star. Not as good as Wild Love but the addiction and death themes made it more solid. The bit at the end where he told her to go in the hospital was grim, it was resolved within a few pages but frustrating to have to go through. Good read, well written, read it in under a day so enjoyed it.

This was a delightful contemporary romance. Both main characters were both lovable and flawed and their romance bloomed very naturally. I also really liked it not having an unnecessary third act break up-which just would not have fit these characters. Elsie Silver‘s writing gets better & better each new book. 5⭐️
